Currently, nothing much has changed with our house. We are still not able to go home and we are still paying our mortgage. It’s been about a year since we have left the home. Fortuneatly, the Knights of Columbus sponsored a fundraiser/benefit for us that has helped us out alot. (Thank you to all who could attend.) As far as the future is concerned, maybe we will be blessed with a home makeover from ABC, if not, well…we’re still working on plan B. We are determind to go home someday. Thanks to all again for your support and prayers.

We’re very sorry but we’ve had to postpone the Poker Tournament until we can find a non-profit organization that can obtain a permit for the event.

So…you think you can play poker, huh? Some friends of ours are planning a poker tournament that will raise money for us to demolish our house. (Believe it or not, demolition alone has been estimated at $10,000-$20,000) So, poker fans tell your friends, and have your friends tell their friends, etc. Even if you don’t play poker stop by anyway, there will be some items that will be auctioned off in a silent auction.
Details coming soon…stay posted!
Sincerely

On 3-8-07 we recorded a video as part of our application to Extreme Makeover Home Edition. We are very thankful that so many of you could attend to show your support. Even if we are not chosen it’s a good feeling to know that our community is there for us. Your presence has lifted our spirits. Thank you all so much.
We haven’t heard anything from EMHE, but we are praying that they see that we have an immediate need for a safe and healthy home. Thanks again to all for your support.
Sincerely

On Tuesday October 10th our family was devastated to learn that we had to leave our home because of a very serious mold issue. Along with our home we’ve left our daily routines, entertainment, simple joys, and neighbors behind. It took a week before we really understood that we would not be able to return to our home for an indefinite amount of time. I don’t think that anyone would easily accept the fact that almost everything you’ve worked for was right in front of you but it was having adverse affects on your health (possibly for the rest of your life).
Since then our family, friends, neighbors, and complete strangers have opened their hearts for us. Two weeks ago we were overwhelmed with grief and sadness. Now we are blessed with kindness, love, support and hope. As we tuck our children into bed we can honestly tell them that we will someday be able to go home thanks to the hope of all of you. With these thoughts on our minds we thank all family, friends and strangers with the deepest appreciation. Your support and prayers will always touch our hearts.
